Grow Guide - Marigold

How To Start: Marigolds germinate quickly, sprouting within a few days and blooming in about 8 weeks, making them easy to grow from seed. Sow seeds directly outside after all danger of frost have passed and the soil has begun to warm up. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and water thoroughly after planting.

Temperature: 10-18℃

Light: Most marigolds prefer to be located in an area with full sun but will tolerate some shade. During times of extreme heat, some afternoon shade is beneficial.

For indoor growing, Start your plant at 12 hours of light per day using our Pianta grow light and Increase to 16 hours a day over the first month.

Watering & Care: After the seeds sprout, they should be thinned to the following guidelines. Deadhead and pinch flowers for bushy, continuous growth. Water marigold and their base.

Fertiliser: When transplanting, a 5-10-5 fertilizer can be added.

Pests: Slugs and snails.

Height: There are varieties available from 6 inches to 4 feet tall, and 6 inches to 2 feet wide.

Time Of Growth: 8 weeks from germination to bloom
